...changing the face of aging!

OUR MISSION

  • We value staff and board who believe in our mission and see themselves both as advocates for aging adults, and as promoters of the changing face of aging.
  • Our staff are professionals who received competitive wages and benefits.
  • We value fiscal soundness, with sustainable resources and community partnerships.
  • We value excellence and offer outcome-based social, nutrition, health, enrichment and community involvement opportunities.

CALLING ALL COOKS - GET LUNCH HALF-OFF

Join us in putting together our first Cafe Wanderlust community-based cookbook!!  Our objective is to support our efforts and help broaden our capacity to bring affordable, nutritional lunch alternatives to our neighbors!   We're looking to focus on healthy recipes for small families (1-3 people).

One of the main reasons people don't always eat as well as they could at home is that it isn't easy to cook for just one or two people... especially since most recipes are made to cover whole families, and provide leftovers.  Many of the seniors we see every day here at the CSC either live alone or with one other person, and cooking for that few is difficult and often too much trouble to handle.

We're looking for health-conscious recipes for 1-3 servings, to add to our recipe book.  We want the community's feedback and input in this project.  As a thank-you for being part of this effort,  we would like to offer a half-off Cafe Wanderlust coupon for everyone who donates a recipe!  Come enjoy a great meal for just $1.50 (seniors) or $2.25 (the whole community)!!  Either drop off your suggestions in person (we'd love to meet you) or send them to srcenter@comcast.net.
